I am Ruth Hoffmann, a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of St Andrews, United Kingdom. My research interest lies in Computational Combinatorics, in particular in permutation pattern classes. I have been working on a package for GAP which explores the theory of permutation pattern classes and dabbles around the involvement of token passing networks. You can find the .zip file and a little description of the PatternClass package here.

In my free time I bake pretty delicious cakes, while listening to (and singing along badly to) music. Also I enjoy travelling, having done an InterRail trip around Europe and seen several countries in Asia, by now. What fascinates me are the different cultures which I try to experience and understand as good as I can.
